Chris Hemsworth is happy about his well-deserved time-out from the limelight.
The 35-year-old actor recently decided to turn his back on Hollywood for half a year. The star now wants to use his free time to spend more time with his wife Elsa Pataky and their three children in Byron Bay, Australia. “I’ll just make sandwiches and take the kids to school and pick them up,” he says. “After the ‘Avengers’ press tour [in April] I had a moment when I thought ‘Oh, what now? I’m unemployed, what’s next? And then I thought, ‘No, that’s the problem. If you keep looking into the future and don’t enjoy the moment, you’ll miss it.'”
Of course, a bit of planning for the future is still possible. In an interview with the ‘Strength Sessions’ podcast of the ‘Men’s Health’ magazine, the women’s crush reveals that he is “open to everything” at the moment. “I’ve been doing a lot lately, so I’m also looking forward to doing a drama somewhere and a few simpler things,” he says. “Comedy is fantastic, there’s so much improvisation, there’s a sense of uncertainty and a nervous energy crackling through the whole production, which is different from doing something that’s more predictable.”
