The Aquatop CF-500UV Canister Filter is easy to assemble, use and clean. The in and out hoses can be shut off and removed with no water spilled. There are four filter trays, one with a coarse filter material and three with standard material; in addition, there is a bag of filter media. There is plenty of space in the trays to add any other type of medium desired. The 9-watt UV that is built into the filter can be turned off if it is not wanted.

In planning to upgrade from a 29 to a 75 gallon tank, I've started reading about canister filters. I've read quite a bit of the eheim vs fluval discussions, so I don't want to delve into that again.
