Aquatic Kingdom is the premier aquarium store in the Mississauga and Toronto area.

Headed to Toronto for a couple of days and was wondering where the best reef aquarium stores are

Stemming from Toronto, Canada, Big Al's first opened its doors in late March of 2000. Scott Nash, CEO of Aquarium Retail Holdings, which operates Allfish Emporium and Allpets Emporium, stated AllFish originally opened as a Big Al's Aquarium Supercenter franchise June 22, 2005. This joint venture established the first Big Al's location in the United States, making it one of 17 franchises and 3 corporate stores in North America, boasting 18,000 square feet, and an amazing 45,000 gallons of water, a 14-foot waterfall, and koi pond, all under one roof.

Home page of Markham Aquarium 2U, it is one of the fast growing suppliers of fish .. I brought a class of 21 students on the same day that my mother was visiting from London, Ontario with her seniors group. We did an inquiry-based learning activity there, and I created a worksheet package for them to learn with. It was actually a very positive experience. It looks good, is well maintained, but could use more interactive exhibit options for more in-depth (ha!) interpretation by staff. I think some films, interactive kiosks, hands on pieces and a fish aquarium store would be great additions. As well, they can design a high school level interpretation element focused on the facility design itself - I ended up making my own resources. There are many different things that could happen there but it's still not really in full development I felt. The gift shop was predictable - not great. I think they are missing a lot of opportunities to partner with other attractions of the Harbourfront, especially from the locals who live there. I also live on my boat in Toronto Harbour, so I would love it if there were more discount opportunities to bring visiting guests as I live a block away. Maybe participation in the Harbourfront BIA so that the Waterfront Card would be well used should be considered. I do have friends who have tried it for their cub scout groups from out of town. I think they could offer the space after hours for totally zen yoga classes. They really need to think about how to really use that facility to the max and attract different groups. That all said, it's an ok aquarium. I've seen many around the world. It could use more small exhibits like jelly fish, and helping kids to identify the small tropical fish that they can actually buy, and then if they were smart have a place to be able to get them and educate people on proper care.
