Then on the first full weekend ofeach month present your card and get a free admission to The ArtInstitute of Chicago, the Adler Planetarium, the Chicago HistoryMuseum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the SheddAquarium. One per cardholder, so it won't be free for the entirefamily (unless each of your children have a B of A credit card),but a free adult admission is nothing to sneeze at.How do I get a pass? If you are eligible, visit your local branch of MCFL to request a pass. Eligible adults may obtain one free pass to the Aquarium once a program year from MCFL. One pass admits up to six (6) family members for a one-time visit. What qualifies as low-income*? Low-income is defined by the Aquarium for this program as enrollment in the Free School Lunch Program, WIC/SNAP, Meals on Wheels, Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, or similar services. Proof of low-income eligibility is based on the honor system.
CALIFORNIA SCIENCE CENTER
Much like the Aquarium of the Pacific, the California Science Center boasts its own in their Ecosystems hall. Unlike the Aquarium of the Pacific, admission is free! The 188,000-gallon tank has its own miniature version of this unique ecosystem and even includes a walkthrough tunnel, which saves you the trouble of getting SCUBA certified and then diving into frigid waters. Every day there are two dive shows in the tank, where a volunteer diver takes the plunge and fields questions from the audience. A separate exhibit on the lets you get hands on and control simulated robots as if you were on your own deep sea excursion.
